1.0  Purpose

1.1   This establishes the minimum standard for the glazing of artworks, keepsakes and the like.

1.2   This document is directed to only those areas that cannot be easily judged by visual examination of the product.

2.0  UV Blocking Glass or Acrylic  

2.1   A glazing material shall block more than 50% of all UV light from 300 to 400 nanometers to be considered a UV Blacking glazing.

2.2   The higher the number, the greater the UV protection.

3.0   Anti-reflective Glass or Acrylic

3.1   A glazing material shall reduced reflection (or glare) to a refractive index of 7 or less and increased transmission (or clarity) compared to the base glass used (prior to the processing for anti-reflective surfaces).

3.2    The lower the number, the greater the anti-reflective qualities.
